Defence Minister Karl Erjavec told the Slovenian National Assembly's defence committee on 14 November that Slovenia had signed a government-to-government agreement with the US on the procurement of 38 Oshkosh 4×4 Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTVs) for the army's medium-sized battlegroup.
Oshkosh Defence's senior vice-president of international programmes Mike Ivy on 20 November welcomed the Foreign Military Sale, without giving details, but the Slovenian Ministry of Defence (MoD) website said on 21 November that deliveries would take place in 2021-23. The ministry emphasised the importance of crew safety and protection in the decision to procure the JLTVs, which will replace the Slovenian Armed Forces' ageing HMMWVs.
