Belarus has started to construct its first armament factory, the chairman of the State Military Industrial Committee has revealed.
Roman Golovchenko announced the development of the plant near to the city of Orsha in the Vitebsk region in an interview with the Belarus 1 television channel.
The first stage will involve the production of pistol and rifle ammunition before proceeding to the manufacture of small arms.
