Indo Defence 2018: PT PAL prepares to handover Indonesian Navy’s sixth LPD

A landing platform dock (LPD) vessel on order for the Indonesian Navy (Tentara Nasional Indonesia – Angkatan Laut, or TNI–AL) is ready to be handed over the service, officials from PT PAL confirmed with Jane’s on 8 November at the Indo Defence exhibition in Jakarta.

The vessel, which was launched on 3 August at PT PAL’s facilities in Surabaya, was supposed to have been handed over in October 2018, in conjunction with the launch ceremony of Indonesia’s third Nagapasa-class submarine.
