Here at Indo Defence, German company Rohde & Schwarz (Hall A, Stand A383), a leading single-source supplier of integrated solutions for secure communications and radio intelligence, is presenting its broad portfolio built around advanced software defined radios (SDRs), based on software communications architecture (SCA).
The latest generation of SDR/SCA technology is already fielded with the SDTR for vehicle-based tactical communications and the SDHR for highly mobile applications. The NAVICS integrated naval communications system delivers mission-ready internal and external voice and data communications for all classes of ships.
A highlight is the SDAR next-generation airborne radio, which is being shown for the first time in Asia. This combines the advantages of a networked radio with the excellent performance of the successful M3AR family of airborne radios. Almost 8,000 software defined airborne radios from Rohde & Schwarz are integrated on more than 70 different airborne platforms.
Also on display is the company's ELINT solution, which is optimised for detecting, monitoring and analysing advanced radar signals. It was designed to handle especially challenging signal scenarios. Its COMINT/C-ESM solutions meet the requirements of the most diverse intelligence missions. The DDF1555 is the heart of a full-featured manportable reconnaissance system for outdoor applications.
It combines accurate direction finding with wideband monitoring capabilities. The Rohde & Schwarz portfolio also offers a number of solutions for protecting cyberspace.
