CPI-M militants kill civilian in India's Odisha

A civilian was killed by Communist Party of India - Maoist (CPI-M) militants in the village of Barubeda in Maithili block in Malkangiri district in India's Odisha state on 23 October, the Odisha Sun Times reported. Approximately 25 militants raided the village, forced entry into the man's residence, and dragged him outside, before physically assaulting him. The militants then took him to Dhakadarashi, approximately 15 kilometres from the village, and killed him for allegedly acting as a police informant.
