Kazakhstan's national defence industry holding, Kazakhstan Engineering, announced on 24 October that it would be selling off local subsidiary Omega Instrument-Making Plant JSC.
The sale, for complete ownership of the company, is to take place via an electronic tender that will open on 7 November.
Based in the northern Kazakh city of Uralsk, the Omega Instrument-Making Plant produces communications equipment and precision marine instruments. It also produces railway equipment such as diesel engine components and control instruments.
