Update: France receives first VLTP 4×4 tactical vehicles

11 October 2018

The French Army's 12ème Régiment de Cuirassiers received its first two VT4 4×4 tactical vehicles in Satory on 11 October, Arquus, which produces them, announced in a press release.

This follows delivery of the first four vehicles to the 8th Materiel Regiment (8e Régiment du Matériel), based in Satory, at the beginning of October, which was announced by the Direction générale de l'armement (DGA), the French defence procurement agency, on its website on 8 October.

The vehicles are produced by Arquus for the French armed forces under the DGA's Multirole Light Tactical Vehicle (Véhicule Léger Tactique Polyvalent: VLTP) programme.

The first batch of 100 vehicles is being delivered over two weeks to the French armed forces and the Joint Munitions Service (Service interarmées des munitions: SIMu).
