The Kazakhstan Ministry of Defence and Aerospace Industries (MoDAI) announced on 18 September the outcomes of a recent meeting of the country’s National Scientific Council on the target areas of development for its defence-industrial base.
At the meeting, held on 14 September, it was decided that over the 2019–21 period Kazakhstan’s government would support development of technology in the defence-industrial sector, development of an information security system, the space sector, and facility development for the manufacture of aircraft and missile systems.
The Kazakh government will provide programme and grant financing for projects within these sectors in collaboration with the country’s National Tax Service.
