Poland seeks anti-radiation missiles

14 September 2018

The Polish Ministry of National Defence (MND) confirmed to Jane’s on 14 September that Poland wants to acquire Northrop Grumman’s AGM-88E Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile (AARGM) for its armed forces.

Defence Minister Mariusz Błaszczak approved the AARGM as it was found to be the most suitable system in an analysis of the anti-radiation missile market launched by Poland's Armament Inspectorate in 2016.

Poland has already officially requested information from the United States on the price and availability of both the standard AARGM and the extended range AARGM-ER. The latter is currently in development for the US Navy and could have twice the range of the standard variant.
