Russian small arms manufacturer Kalashnikov has taken a 60% stake in aerospace design company NPO Molniya, according to local press reports. The deal, the terms of which were reported to have been agreed in August, will see Kalashnikov acquire a majority share in the company from previous owner Rostec.
NPO Molniya is best known for its involvement in the development of the Buran, a Soviet-era reusable spacecraft.
