India’s Ordnance Factory Board (OFB) aims to achieve exports worth INR10 billion (USD139 million) over the next two years, the chairman of the state-run enterprise, P K Srivastava, said on 13 September.
The figure represents a fourfold increase over the INR2.5 billion in exports secured by the OFB in 2017, he said in comments reported by the Press Trust of India (PTI). He added that OFB is close to signing a major export deal worth INR5 billion but did not provide details.
Srivastava said that in supporting exports the OFB had recently completed an international “road show” to inform Indian defence attachés around the world about its capabilities and products.
