The FMV, the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration, announced on 2 August that it had been authorised by the government to enter an agreement with the United States on the purchase of the Patriot air defence system. This paves the way for the FMV to reach an agreement on the delivery of four fire units, missiles, spare parts, maintenance systems, training, and technical support.
