Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) announced on 26 July that it had signed a collaboration agreement with Croatian rugged mine-clearing vehicle manufacturer DOK-ING to produce a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive (CBRNE) unmanned ground vehicle (UGV).
Although details of the platform are in the embryonic stages, IAI General Manager for Robotic Systems Division Meir Shabtai explained that it would be suitable for military applications as well as the civil market. The collaboration will see DOK-ING providing the platform and IAI incorporating the autonomous capability. The vehicle will be produced in Croatia with testing carried out in both countries. It is not yet known if it will be an entirely new chassis or platform.
