Russian Deputy Defence Minister Alexey Krivoruchko has detailed the military equipment accepted by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) during the second quarter of 2018.
“Within the prescribed period, the land forces and the airborne troops have accepted 62 new and 70 overhauled main battle tanks and armoured fighting vehicles, 537 new and 214 overhauled automotive vehicles, 937 communications systems, 218 surface-to-air missiles, and over 3,000 parachutes,” Krivoruchko said on 20 July.
The Aerospace Forces (VKS) have received 11 new and 21 overhauled fixed-wing aircraft, five new and 19 overhauled helicopters, one overhauled S-300 air-defence system, 36 new and nine overhauled radars, and more than 30,000 air-launched weapons of various types, he added.
