Danish systems and sensors house Terma has introduced an updated version of its airborne Advanced Countermeasures Dispenser System (ACMDS) designed to provide an improved mixed-payload capability and inventory management, as well as promote compatibility with a new generation of smart expendables.

ACMDS is designed to co-ordinate, integrate, and operate expendable infrared (IR) and radio frequency (RF) countermeasures payloads on fixed-wing, fighter, transport, and widebody aircraft, as well as rotary-wing platforms.

The dispenser suite is controlled via Terma’s own AN/ALQ-213 electronic warfare (EW) management unit or a defensive aids system (DAS) controller, which provides a reprogramming interface, automatic decision support for the pilot in a threat environment, built-in training capability, and full EW/DAS suite control, as desired.
