Farnborough 2018: Acorn Growth Companies buys out Berry Aviation

17 July 2018

Private equity firm Acorn Growth Companies announced on 16 July that it had acquired Texas-based contracted flight services operator Berry Aviation.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Berry Aviation undertakes commercial and government passenger and cargo flights, with military operations covering tactical airlift from austere environments, as well as aerial delivery of cargo and personnel.

Speaking to Jane’s at the Farnborough Air Show, Acorn Growth Companies' managing partner, Rick Nagel, said that the organisation was attracted by Berry’s US Department of Defense (DoD) Commercial Airlift Review Board (CARB) certification status, which has allowed it to gain access to US DoD transport mobility contracts around the world.
