Suspected sectarian loyalists detonate a suspected IED in Northern Ireland's Belfast

A SUSPECTED improvised explosive device (IED) - described in reports as a pipe bomb - was detonated in Clandeboye Drive in the Short Strand area in east Belfast in Northern Ireland in the United Kingdom on 11 July, BBC News reported. Reports did not contain details of any casualties or damage. No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack, although Sinn Fein blamed the attack on sectarian loyalists.
