L3 Technologies has entered agreements to acquire two Australian companies to strengthen its electronics, communications, and cyber capabilities and support growth in international markets, it announced on 11 January.
The deals feature Azimuth Security, an information security consultancy firm, and Linchpin Labs, which specialises in software development. The two companies, both of which are located in Sydney, will be amalgamated to become an L3 subsidiary named L3 Trenchant.
The two companies operate in the government, defence, and security sectors in Australia, and in international markets, including Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
L3 said the deals, which are expected to be finalised during the second half of 2018, are together worth an initial AUD270 million (USD199 million).
