Safran has teamed with Pramacom of the Czech Republic to develop a dual C4ISTAR/target engagement version of the former’s PASEO stabilised panoramic sight.
Developed for vehicle integration, the joint development of the new PASEO ISTAR variant was the result of a memorandum of understanding signed between the two companies, integrating Safran’s optronics and target acquisition capabilities with Pramacom’s communications network.
The companies say the system meets customer requirements for joint fire and collaborative combat capabilities and can be mounted on an infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) or other fire support vehicle, allowing for combat data exchange between mounted and dismounted soldiers.
