Four more Super Tucanos arrive in Lebanon

29 May 2018

The Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) announced on 28 May that the remaining four of its six Embraer EMB 313/A-29 Super Tucano light-attack and reconnaissance aircraft had arrived at Hanat Air Base, north of Beirut. The first two aircraft arrived in October 2017.

The US State Department said in March that the Super Tucanos are part of a USD340 million assistance package to improve the LAF’s capabilities. This also includes 32 surplus M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, the delivery of which is expected to be completed this year.
