Israel’s Rafael has signed a collaboration agreement with Romania’s Romaero to promote its products in the Romanian market.
The agreement, signed at the Black Sea Defense & Aerospace 2018 exhibition in Bucharest, will see the two companies work on targeting a variety of procurement programmes that Romania is investing in.
The agreement covers equipment including remote weapons stations (RWSs), air defence systems, and anti-tank missiles. Rafael is currently working to position its products for a number of major Romanian procurements. These include the Samson 30 mm RWS for Romania’s forthcoming 8x8 Agilis armoured personnel carriers, the Spike Long-Range (LR) and Spike Extended-Range (ER) anti-tank guided weapons systems, the Iron Dome and Spyder air defence systems for very short-range and short-range air defence systems, and the C-Dome naval air defence system for Romania’s new corvettes.
