QinetiQ has announced that it is acquiring German training provider EIS Aircraft Operations for EUR70 million (USD85.67 million), a move that is expected to facilitate the company’s growth in this geographical market.
EIS provides threat representation and operational readiness training to military forces, having delivered low-speed aerial training to the German armed forces since 1999 and additionally providing services to the US Air Force in Europe.
It will strengthen the British company’s live and synthetic training capabilities within threat representation and operational readiness, it says, as well as complement its test aircrew training and engineering services.
“EIS Aircraft Operations is a high growth business which provides airborne training at a disruptively low price,” Steve Wadey, CEO of QinetiQ, said.
