Brazilian aerospace and defence group Embraer saw a 14.5% year-on-year decline in its consolidated revenues in the fourth quarter of 2017, contributed to by a 15% decrease in its defence and security business line over this period.
Lower commercial aircraft deliveries were also a contributing factor to the decline alongside defence and security, which totalled USD1.73 billion in the fourth quarter across all divisions. This was down from the USD2.03 billion in the same quarter in 2016.
However, for the whole fiscal year, defence and security’s consolidated revenues increased by 1.9% year-on-year, in comparison with the commercial and executive jet divisions that reported decline.
