Rolls-Royce strengthens revenues amidst turbulent times

07 March 2018

Rolls-Royce has posted an increase in revenues in its 2017 results that were reported on 7 March, despite a small decline in its orderbook.

The news came despite a number of challenges for the company, in addition to the commencement of a major restructuring of operations and key personnel.

The overall orderbook for the company declined by 3%, from GBP80.9 billion (USD112.2 billion) to GBP78.5 billion. However, revenues rose 6% to GBP15 billion following a 6% growth in product and 7% growth in services sales. Of these, the company’s civil aerospace business led the way, with a 12% increase in revenues due to deliveries of engines for widebody aircraft, and greater service work on installed engines.
