Spain has begun seeking national offers to meet its requirement for a military anti-UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) system.
The launch of the Condor project follows on from a similar one, Rapaz (Bird of Prey), which began more than two years ago to test and acquire actual UAV aircraft systems produced in Spain for the armed forces.
Manufacturers will have until 15 March to apply to take part in Condor, with their systems due to be tested in 2018-19.
The Ministry of Defence (MoD) said it aimed to complete selection of the finalists by the end of March, followed by trials with systems that can be carried by a single soldier.
