The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has ordered Insitu Integrator unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), it was announced during the Unmanned System Exhibition (UMEX) held in Abu Dhabi from 25–27 February.
The official UMEX spokesperson said the AED22 million (USD6.0 million) deal covered four Integrator aircraft, which are launched using a catapult and recovered with the company’s SkyHook system, enabling them to be used from naval vessels.
Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi Autonomous Systems Investments (ADASI) was awarded a AED72.5 million contract to supply unspecified aircraft.
