Australian contractor CEA Technologies has signed a five-year research and development agreement with the government’s Defence Science and Technology (DST) Group, it was announced on 1 March.
According to the Department of Defence (DoD) in Canberra, the new agreement will support the joint development of radar, communications, and electronic warfare systems.
Australia’s Minister for Defence Industry Christopher Pyne said the collaborative programme brings together CEA Technologies expertise in active array and radars, and DST Group capabilities in signal processing, electronic protection, tracking, and data fusion.
He added that collaboration between the two parties will have a “significant focus on robust and resilient capabilities in complex environments”.
