A Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) T-50B Golden Eagle from the Republic of Korea Air Force’s (RoKAF’s) Black Eagles aerobatic team has crashed while taking off for a flying demonstration programme at the Singapore Airshow.
According to a notification from the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), the accident happened on runway 02L/20R of Singapore’s Changi Airport at 1324 h local time on 6 February. The aircraft was said to have skidded before crashing into the runway’s grass verge. It subsequently flipped and caught fire.
The pilot of the aircraft sustained light injuries and has received outpatient treatment, said the CAAS.
