Germany seeks combat sights for new assault rifle

The Bundesamt für Ausrüstung, Informationstechnik und Nutzung der Bundeswehr (BAAINBw) Germany's Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support, issued a EUR125 million (USD153 million) tender on 16 January for 103,090 combat sights for the System Sturmgewehr Bundeswehr, the replacement of the Heckler & Koch G36 rifle, for delivery in 2019–26.

Companies have until 15 February to bid for a main four-power scope equipped with a cross wire with a small reflex sight attached on top.
