Ukrainian gas turbine aircraft engine manufacturer Motor Sich has revealed that it has lost control over its Snizhnyansky Machine Building Plant in the Donetsk region of the country.
A note to investors reported that it lost control of the plant – located in territory” temporarily uncontrolled by Ukraine – in December.
The company said that it had made a “notice of temporary loss” to the government of Ukraine.
Donetsk in the east of Ukraine has been the scene of conflict between Ukrainian security forces and Russian backed separatists. The generally unrecognised state of the Donetsk People’s Republic was declared in 2014.
