Swedish defence company Saab announced three acquisitions on 21 and 22 December with capabilities gained in naval construction and advanced composite materials.
The first two transactions saw Saab conclude an agreement, effective on 29 December, to acquire Swedish combat boat manufacturer N. Sundin Dockstavarvet AB, as well as maintenance shipyard Muskövarvet AB.
Although it also offers boats for use by emergency services and coastguards, Dockstavarvet produces a range of interceptor craft in service with navies including Sweden’s and Norway’s, while Muskövarvet provides repair services to the Swedish Navy.
