US sensor and signal processing specialist Mercury systems confirmed on 14 December that it is in negotiations with Themis Computer with the goal of acquiring the California-based rugged computing company.
The transaction, revealed in a statement to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is expected to be completed through a USD175 million cash transfer, if successful.
Themis, which supplies military standard electronics to a wide range of US platforms and systems, is expected to generate USD57 million in revenue in 2017.
