13 December 2017

Logos has detailed the system used to train Russian main battle tank (MBT) and infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) crews.

Speaking to Jane’s at the Gulf Defense & Aerospace (GDA) 2017 exhibition in Kuwait City, representatives of the Moscow-based company confirmed that the system is in service with the Russian Army to train T-90, T-80, and T-72 MBT and a wide variety of IFV crews. This driving training forms part of the Russian Army’s Ground Force Combat and Special Vehicle Driving Course (GF C&SV 2011).

The system is comprised of a satellite-connected network of sensors and monitoring equipment to enable vehicle positioning, driving style, and navigation to be monitored remotely from a training command post.
