Congress approves Patriot sale to Poland

US Defense Security Co-operation Agency (DSCA) on 14 November notified Congress of a possible USD10.5 billion (PLN37.8 billion) Foreign Military Sale (FMS) to Poland of an Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Battle Command System (IBCS)-enabled Patriot Configuration-3+ (PAC-3+) with modernized sensors and components.

In total, Poland has requested four AN/MPQ-65 radar sets, four Engagement Control Stations, four Radar Interface Units modification kits, 16 M903 Launching stations, 18 Launcher Integrated Network Kits (includes two spares), 208 Patriot Advanced Capability-3 Missile Segment Enhancement (PAC-3 MSE) missiles, 11 PAC-3 MSE test missiles, IBCS software, two future operations – IBCS Engagement Operations Centers (EOCs), six current operations-IBCS EOCs, six engagement operations-IBCS EOCs, 15 Integrated Fire Control Network relays, four Electrical Power Plants III, and five Multifunctional Information Distribution Systems Terminals.
