03 October 2017

State-owned China Electronics Corporation (CEC), a vital developer of C4I systems for the People’s Liberation Army, has signed a co-operation agreement with the China Construction Bank to expand in international markets.

CEC said the agreement, which was signed on 30 September, will allow it to gain access to funding that will support its expansion in foreign markets and support efforts to accelerate its development. The amount of funding to be made available to CEC was not revealed.

The CEC and its subsidiaries have in the past been credited by the US Department of Defense for developing a range of Chinese military telecommunications including mobile communications, sensors, computer networks, encryption systems, microwaves, computer applications, and dedicated military C4I systems.
