Vietnam and Hungary are preparing the terms of a defence agreement that will feature military technologies and defence industrial collaboration, the Ministry of National Defence (MND) in Hanoi announced on 26 September.
The MND said defence ministry officials from both sides have agreed to accelerate the signing of a proposed memorandum of understanding (MoU) that will promote collaboration on military-technical assistance, defence industries, network security, and technical training.
The MND made the announcement during a state visit to Hanoi by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. It gave no details about the proposed scope of defence industrial or military-technical collaboration between the two countries.
