Renowned British thermal imaging and night vision expert Thermoteknix (Stand S3-230) is launching its TiCAM 1000B multifunction thermal imaging binocular here at DSEI. ‘‘The TiCAM 1000B is an exciting addition to the existing range of Thermoteknix lightweight, portable imaging systems for day and night-time security, surveillance and observation,’’ said managing director Dr Richard Salisbury.
Based on the company’s MicroCAM 3 high-resolution, uncooled thermal imager, the TiCAM 1000B features a laser rangefinder, a digital magnetic compass, real-time in-camera digital recording and GPS. Accordingly, it provides accurate target location and co-ordinates.
TiCAM 1000B can be connected to information/ command systems for realtime data exchange.
Accessories include a lightweight carbon-fibre tripod with a calibrated custom high-precision goniometer.
With intra-ocular adjustment, the binocular TiCAM 1000B is more comfortable to use than monocular or other thermal imaging multifunction devices.
Thermoteknix has indicated that some of its products are not subject to US ITAR control, but may require a UK export licence depending on the end-user country and specification.
