Turkey’s Aselsan is now in its 42nd year and has grown into a multi-sector company with five main business sectors that are primarily concerned with electronic systems.
As well as defence systems, Aselsan (Stand 10-A06) is active in the areas of transportation, security and energy.
Aselsan has achieved considerable success in the defence sector, exporting to 63 countries and actively participating in NATO joint research/development and production programmes. Here at IDEX the company is presenting a range of its defence products, including two types of guidance kit that provide regular Mk 80-series free-fall bombs with a guidance capability.
HGK (Hassas Gudum Kiti) is a tail kit that provides inertial/GPS guidance, while the LGK (Lazer Gudum Kiti) (pictured on a Turkish Air Force F-16) adds a semi-active laser guidance capability to 500 lb and 2,000 lb bombs. The LGK also includes a new tail section with a wing kit.
