21 February 2017

After an absence of 12 years, the Taiwan-based National Chung- Shan Institute of Science and Technology (NCSIST) is at IDEX to showcase its broad range of indigenously developed technologies.

Top of the log of 39 items on display are aeronautical products, ranging from several types of unmanned aircraft vehicles (UAVs) to the country’s fighter jet, trainer and advanced trainer aircraft. Among them are the Chung-Shiang tactical MALE UAV and UAV electronic warfare systems.

NCSIST has a proud record of developing missile and rocket systems, including the Hsiung-Feng III supersonic anti-ship missile, Sea TC II air-defence missile, RT2000 artillery multiple launch rocket system and Kestrel shoulder-launched weapon. In addition, the institute is showing advanced observation and radar systems, information and communication systems and naval systems, such as underwater alert and detection systems, ship-based combat systems and the indigenous Tuo-Chiang class missile corvette.
