Shooting live at the range [SOFEX16D2]

For military and law enforcement trainees, there is nothing better than live firing practice at an outdoor or indoor shooting range. Jordan-based Engineering Industries & Design Co (EIDCO) (Hall 1, Stand A131) has become a preferred provider of innovative shooting ranges for the entire MENA region.

EIDCO has already delivered shooting ranges to the 71st Counter-terrorism Battalion, the Special Royal Guard Training School and Special Royal Guard, Aqaba Palace. This is in addition to official partnerships with European, American and South Korean firms, as well as clients in Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and Kuwait.

The company prides itself on its patented target cube drive unit.

A modular concept, it provides deployable or permanently installed target lifters that are operated by radio or landline. These can be powered by battery or solar, or both.

The outdoor ranges allow shooters to participate in tactical training with up to 180° of firing mobility. As EIDCO explained: “The more flexible your range, the more realistic your training scenarios will be.”

EIDCO also provides towers and buildings for realistic live firing training, as well as convoy ranges to train units in live firing exercises. These evaluate the unit trainees on their ability to move tactically, engage targets, react and spot improvised explosive devices.
