Nowhere to hide under the sun [SOFEX16D1]

Australian company Byfield Optics (Hall 1, Stand B104) claims that border violators and smugglers who have long been using the sun to their advantage, going undetected and penetrating restricted areas, can now be successfully detected in the harshest sun, heat and dust conditions.

The key to its polarised binoculars, explains founder Spencer Barton, “is the embedded polarised lens that successfully blocks harsh glare, while the objective lenses gather more light than a standard binocular, producing the brightest, sharpest, most vivid images, allowing the detection of objects a standard binocular just would not see.”

Cased in heavy-duty rubber, and available in 8x56 and 10x42 power, Byfield’s polarised binoculars are increasingly contributing to effective border control.
