Bell Helicopter and Indonesia's state-owned aerospace manufacturer PT Dirgantara (PTDI) have signed an agreement to expand their helicopter business activities in Indonesia.
A statement by Bell Helicopter said the expanded "industrial and commercial agreement" would enable the two companies to increase support and related services for Bell Helicopter operators in the Southeast Asian country. The agreement was signed in late 2015 but announced on 29 February.
The accord - an extension to existing arrangements - enables PTDI to 'solidify' its customisation and delivery work for Bell 412 platforms in operation in Indonesia. It also allows the Indonesian company to expand its links with Bell Helicopter customers and to support additional commercial helicopter models, said Bell Helicopter.
