Airbus reports year-end results

27 February 2015

Airbus reported its full 2014 results on 27 February, with revenue increasing 5% and net income increasing 59% for the year.

At EUR60.7 billion (USD68.0 billion), Airbus 2014 revenue was a record for the group, climbing with the help of continued strong commercial aircraft sales. The increase to EUR2.3 billion in net income came despite costs associated with a weakening Euro that Airbus said hurt the figure by about EUR341 million.

"We achieved a significant improvement in profitability and cash generation in 2014 thanks to a record order book and strong operational performance in most areas," said Tom Enders, chief executive of Airbus, in a press release.
