Providing much-needed training [AAD143]

19 September 2014

Facilities for skills and competency training in many fields are among the most urgent needs in present-day South Africa, southern Africa and the wider African continent. The demand for professionally trained aviation technical staff is far outstripping the numbers available and this demand is growing year by year with the growth of the African aviation industry.

MATA (Mega Aero Training Academy) (Outside Stand 30S5) is proud to announce the opening of its new practical training facility in addition to its existing training centre based at the OR Tambo Airport.

MATA’s high level of theoretical and practical training is well acknowledged by the aviation industry in South Africa and beyond. The academy is fast becoming the preferred training provider for private students, regional air wing forces, aircraft maintenance organisations and airlines.

The new training facility will give MATA students an improved practical experience, which will better prepare them for entering the work environment.

It is equipped with a variety of aircraft equipment and spares.
