Unmanned and radar systems for civil and military users need sophisticated control.

Cape Town-based Tellumat (Hangar 4, Stand B26) is showcasing several new offerings.

Its UAS avionics team is presenting the new and enhanced portable operator control unit (OCU), part of its ground control system for managing unmanned vehicles, and the Exelis Precision Approach Radar PAR 2000, as well as IFF Mode S enhanced technology. The OCU provides improved functionality with secure networking features.

Specialising in electronic manufacturing, turnkey telecommunications, defence and air traffic management solutions, Tellumat has had significant sales success since AAD 2012.

“We have a long track record and expert capability in providing technology-based solutions, services and products to local and selected international markets, which won us good business,” said business development executive Marc Anderson.

Besides a maintenance support contract for Tanzania’s Civil Aviation Authority, Tellumat completed the instrument landing system and airport ground lighting installations at Mahikeng in South Africa. It also won three international IFF supply contracts and established new international customers for its datalink and UAS offerings.
