New brand, renewed ambition [AAD141]

Following the rebranding and reorganisation of the Airbus Group, Eurocopter Southern Africa (Pty) Ltd, has adopted a new name and brand as Airbus Helicopters Southern Africa (Pty) Ltd (AHZA).

“In addition to aligning with the rest of the group, our new branding signifies our renewed ambition to continuously excel in safety, quality and customer satisfaction with our products, services and support,” explained AHZA CEO, Arnaud Montalvo.

The company’s main base is strategically located at Grand Central, midway between Johannesburg and Pretoria in Gauteng Province, which is South Africa’s economic powerhouse. Its 4,300m2 facility incorporates 16 helicopter bays, a logistics platform for spare part distribution, training centres for pilots and technicians, and a full design and support bureau. The company also operates a Super Puma AS332L1 Full Flight Simulator at OR Tambo International Airport at Johannesburg and has a satellite base at Cape Town International Airport. It recently established a branch at Wilson Airport in Nairobi, Kenya.

AHZA’s maintenance division supports 150 of the 230 Airbus Helicopter products operating in the region with corporate, law enforcement and emergency response agencies, government and private operators.

AHZA (Chalets 1-4) was formed in 1994 and is one of an expanding number of Airbus Helicopter subsidiaries operating in 21 countries.
