Eurosatory 2014

Ideal for a quick brew up (ES14E2)

17 June 2014

A new range of Zip portable cooking systems is featured on Standard Brands’ stand KJ558 in Hall 5. Doubtless inspired by Napoleon’s dictum that an army marches on its stomach, Zip has specialised in the production of such systems since its formation in 1936, retaining a reputation for the supply of easy to use military cooking fuel and portable stoves.

Intended to meet personal as well as group cooking needs, the new range is notable for being lightweight and sufficiently compact enough to be carried in pockets or webbing. Dubbed Boilex, the three new products include a flat-packed design that folds out into a stove and is described as perfect for use in survival situations.

All three are light and easy to assemble. Their ingenious design and robust production will provide users with the confidence that when an opportunity to have a ‘brew up’ arises, the Zip Boilex stoves will meet soldiers’ needs.

The Zip military solid cooking fuel at the heart of the system has proved to be a safer alternative to more traditional options such as hexamine, gas and alcohol gels.
