US aerospace and defence parts manufacturer Novaria Group has completed its fourth acquisition in less than a year by buying Advanced Coating, which provides protective coatings for military equipment and other applications.

The addition of the coating business will enable Novaria to “more holistically serve” its customers, Novaria senior finance director Marc McLeroy said on 25 January.

Advanced Coating's products protect communications gear, electronics, guidance systems, radars, unmanned systems, and other sensitive military devices from harsh environmental conditions, such as dust, extreme temperature changes, moisture, and ultraviolet rays.

“Joining Novaria's platform will provide additional resources to support Advanced Coating's continued growth and ability to bring innovative coating solutions to the market,” Novaria said.

Novaria purchased Advanced Coating from its founder for an undisclosed sum. Established in 1989, the coating business will remain based in Rancho Cucamonga, California.

The acquisition news came less than two weeks after Novaria announced its purchase of Hydro Fitting Manufacturing, which makes high-pressure valves, charging kits, hose assemblies, and fittings. Novaria also acquired locking system manufacturer GK Mechanical Systems in December 2021 and aerospace fastener provider The Young Engineers (TYE) in March 2021.
