The budget committee of the Bundestag, Germany's parliament, on 16 November approved funding for the procurement of 50 Dingo 2 A4.1 armoured vehicles for the Bundeswehr, the German Federal Ministry of Defence announced on its website the next day.

The ministry gave a value of approximately EUR150 million (USD163.5 million) for the procurement, paid for by the German government's Enable and Enhance Initiative to support partner states with military materiel and training, to replace Dingos donated to Ukraine. Germany supplied 50 Dingos to the war-torn country, according to the German government's list of military aid delivered to Kyiv.

Dingo 2 A4.1 deliveries to the Bundeswehr are scheduled for 2026. Asked by Janes for the specifications of the Dingo 2 A4.1, a spokesperson for the vehicle's manufacturer, Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW), said on 22 November that he could not do so until a contract was signed, the date for which the company does not know.
