The market, in terms of concept of operations (CONOPS) and product development, has been moving towards arming unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or unmanned combat air vehicles (UCAVs) for combat and offensive operations. UCAVs can be deployed in frontline zones to engage the primary air defence systems and provide safe penetration for manned fighters. Countries including China, Iran, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and the United States have been involved in developing and using UCAVs to gain air superiority in anti-access/area-denial strategies.
The team will brief the UCAV development trends, UCAV programmes, end users, and markets across the globe.
